More than 85% of office supply at Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) has been committed, according to master developer TRX City Sdn Bhd (TRXC), as the Kuala Lumpur financial district prepares to add about 808,000 sq ft of net lettable area (NLA) through a new 41-storey office tower called Menara Ethos.

TRXC said in a statement on Tuesday that main construction works for the tower are expected to commence in December 2026, and that Menara Ethos is set to become TRX's 10th building. WCT Bhd had accepted a RM600.89 million contract from Pelangi Pasifik Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of TRXC, to undertake the project, according to WCT Holdings Bhd's Bursa Malaysia filing.

The project, on Lot 20076 (Plot 7) and part of Lot 20077 (Plot 8) in Section 67 within TRX, comprises two basement levels and a four-storey podium for parking and mechanical space, as well as 41 storeys of office space, facilities, commercial and mechanical space. Construction is scheduled to commence on Dec 1, 2026.

The contract covers civil and structural works, architectural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, facade works, landscaping, external works and other associated works. Located in TRX's Financial Quarter, Menara Ethos will have access to the district's MRT interchange, and is designed to achieve WELL Core and Shell certification.

TRXC said Menara Ethos will house PwC Malaysia's new headquarters upon completion. About 30,000 workers are currently based in the 70-acre TRX district, according to TRXC, which is wholly owned by the Ministry of Finance.
