News summary

Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) reported net profit of RM112.16 million for the third quarter ended July 31, 2026, up 10.9% from RM101.17 million a year earlier, EdgeProp Malaysia and New Straits Times reported. Revenue for the quarter rose 27.5% to RM971.53 million from RM761.93 million, which both outlets attributed to higher cumulative locked-in sales being recognised during the period.

For the first nine months of the financial year, net profit climbed 27.7% to RM397.71 million from RM311.35 million, while revenue grew 43.3% to RM3.12 billion from RM2.18 billion, according to EdgeProp and New Straits Times. EcoWorld declared a third interim dividend of two sen per share, payable October 23 as reported by New Straits Times, bringing total dividends declared for the financial year to six sen per share.

The developer's total sales crossed RM5 billion for the first time after Eco Business Park 7 Sdn Bhd, a unit developed jointly with SD Guthrie Bhd and NS Corp, signed a conditional agreement on September 22 to sell 221.665 acres of industrial land in Mukim Jimah, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan to Tera Data Centers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for about RM1.013 billion, The Star reported. Tera plans to build AI-ready, hyperscale data centre campuses on the site, which sits within the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 masterplan. EcoWorld had already booked RM4.05 billion in sales as at August 31, ahead of its RM4.0 billion full-year target, New Straits Times reported.

As at August 31, residential sales made up the largest share of EcoWorld's sales at RM2.30 billion, or 57% of the total, with industrial sales at RM1.33 billion and commercial sales at RM424 million, EdgeProp reported. New Straits Times reported that unbilled sales stood at RM5.01 billion, giving the group revenue visibility into the coming financial year.

EcoWorld also disclosed its first Singapore development, after winning a Urban Redevelopment Authority tender on September 18 for a 4,283.4 sq m residential site along Lorong Puntong and Sin Ming Avenue, with the project targeted for 2028, New Straits Times reported. Group president and chief executive Datuk Seri Chang Khim Wah said the company was "on track for a strong close to FY26" with record sales and profits expected alongside an increasingly diversified earnings base, according to New Straits Times.
