CentriX The Station: Living Above Dang Wangi LRT, Two Stops From KLCC
Most Kuala Lumpur developments that market themselves as transit-oriented still mean a five- or ten-minute walk to the nearest station. CentriX The Station, on Jalan Ampang in Dang Wangi, means something more literal: the 47-storey serviced residence is built directly above Dang Wangi LRT Station, so the concourse sits within the development itself rather than across a road or through a covered link.
The project is developed by Intan Sekitar Sdn Bhd, part of Bursa Malaysia-listed Crest Builder Holdings Berhad, and holds 857 units spread across 37 distinct layout types, from 564 sf up to 1,039 sf. It is a leasehold development with completion targeted for 2029, and layouts range from studios and one-bedroom units through to three-bedroom and dual-key configurations, the latter aimed at owners who want to split a single unit into two separately rentable spaces.
Entry pricing starts at RM907,800 for Type S14, a 564 sf one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit, working out to about RM1,610 per square foot. The smallest studio, Type S12 at 571 sf, prices from RM920,800, also around RM1,612 psf. Unlike many KL projects where price per square foot swings sharply between the smallest and largest units, CentriX holds a relatively narrow band across its range, from roughly RM1,595 to RM1,675 psf regardless of whether the unit is a compact studio or a larger three-bedroom layout such as Type S1 at 1,000 sf, priced from RM1,674,800.
For investors weighing rental flexibility, Type S6 is the project's dual-key option: a 1,039 sf, two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit priced from RM1,689,800, split internally so the owner can rent out one portion while occupying or separately leasing the other. That structure suits a project positioned squarely at renters who work in the KLCC corridor and want to avoid a daily commute rather than at a single large household.
Connectivity is the project's core proposition. Dang Wangi LRT Station (KJ12) is accessed directly from the development, putting KLCC two stops away and KL Sentral three stops away on the same Kelana Jaya Line, with an interchange to the Ampang Line at Masjid Jamek two stops out. Quill City Mall is one stop away, Suria KLCC two stops, and Sogo Kuala Lumpur is within walking distance along Jalan Ampang. The location also places Prince Court Medical Centre, Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Tung Shin Hospital within reach, along with Sayfol International School on Jalan Ampang.
Maintenance is set at RM0.44 per square foot, which on the entry-level Type S14 unit works out to roughly RM248 a month, and on the largest Type S1 layout to about RM440 a month — a comparatively low figure for a KLCC-corridor address, reflecting the project's leasehold tenure and its density of 857 units across a single 47-storey tower. That density, spread over 37 layout types, means buyers should confirm the exact stack and orientation for any unit rather than assuming all units of the same type face the same direction or view.
CentriX The Station is a narrow but clear proposition for a specific buyer: someone who ranks rail access above tenure, unit size or brand prestige, and who wants a KLCC-corridor address at an entry price below RM1 million. It will not suit a buyer who wants freehold land or a low-density boutique building, and the leasehold tenure and 2029 completion date are both factors to weigh against the immediate transit access. I help buyers and investors along the Kelana Jaya Line corridor compare projects like this one on tenure, connectivity and rental potential rather than on price per square foot alone. Message me your budget and commute priorities and I will map out whether CentriX fits.
